Changes are coming to the LBNL Library! Longtime Lab Library Michael Golden is retiring at the end of June 2025 after decades of service to the Lab community. His departure brings about a number of changes to the way the Library operates:
- There is a new Library space in the IT Division Office on the 2nd floor of Building 50B. Come by to check out the new shelves and the reading space.
- The Library will no longer be the custodian of the salary book. If you wish to view the salary book, you can ask to have a physical copy mailed to you by contacting compensation@lbl.gov.
- Starting in June 2025, if you would like to request a journal article or other research materials, please use this form.
- As of June 2025, books from campus or from other libraries must be picked up and returned by patrons to the main Library on campus. Books will no longer be brought up the hill for pickup, or returned to the Library space on the Lab site.
