Expanded Coverage
The IT Division is happy to announce that a multi-year cellular coverage expansion project with Verizon has been completed. Verizon users will now experience greatly improved cellular service in many of the Lab’s buildings as well as the majority of the outdoor areas of the Hill site.
Cellular Calling Plans:
All cellular users are included in either an AT&T or Verizon Wireless plan. Domestic voice, text and data are unlimited. Roaming and international charges are billed when applicable for voice, data and text. Cellular requests require the approval of your Division Director, Deputy Division Director, or Division Director’s Designate, and is based on business need. In addition, all cellular users must read and sign the cellular phone procedures which states the allowed use of a Laboratory cellular phone.
To order service, please provide the following:
- User’s name
- Purchase project ID
- Monthly project ID
- Cellular vendor (AT&T Mobility or Verizon Wireless)
- Equipment and accessories to order
- Proper approval (phones under $250 need supervisor approval; phones over $250 require division level approval)
Upgrades for any Smartphone devices less than two years old require Division level approval.
