Google Workspace not only made updates to the popular LaTex feature in Gemini app, but also launched Google Workspace Flows, its version of an AI agent that connects directly with Gemini to help make automating tasks.
New LaTeX features
Google Workspace has introduced new LaTeX rendering and PDF export features directly within the Gemini app, making it easier than ever to create and share professional, technically formatted documents.
LaTeX is a document preparation system widely used in academic, scientific, and engineering fields to produce high-quality documents that include complex elements such as mathematical equations, tables, and multi-column layouts.
The latest update adds several improvements designed to simplify how users create and manage LaTeX content within Google Workspace including PDF generation, Easy Editing in Canvas documents, and smarter copying.

Google Workspace Flows
Google Workspace Flows harnesses the power of Gemini AI to seamlessly connect your Google apps and automate tasks securely within your organization’s Workspace domain.
Flows is designed as a no-code automation tool with an interface that feels as simple as chatting with an AI assistant. You don’t need to use Apps Script, AppSheet, or set up a Cloud Project to create workflows. Instead, Flows enables users to quickly design automations that simplify complex, multi-step processes across Gmail, Drive, Docs, Sheets, and more.
With Google Workspace Flows, teams can easily streamline approvals, automate reporting, and eliminate repetitive processes throughout their organization. Users can even build multi-step workflows that call on Gemini to analyze content, summarize data, or generate insights in a way that is similar to how NotebookLM produces research summaries and reports.
The result is a powerful, intuitive tool that helps teams focus less on manual tasks and more on meaningful work, making everyday operations faster, smarter, and more connected. Flows is available wherever you see the Flows icon, which is currently Gmail and Google Chat.

Gemini 3 is finally here!
Google Workspace officially released its Gemini 3 AI, its most intelligent model yet, featuring significantly improved reasoning, multimodal capabilities, and a focus on more direct, insightful responses. Key features include:
- Improved reasoning and responses: Gemini 3 offers more concise and direct answers, reportedly less prone to “sycophancy” or empty flattery than previous models. It also features better reasoning and agentic capabilities for more complex tasks.
- Enhanced multimodality: The model can handle multimodal inputs more effectively, allowing for features like “multimodal vibe coding” where users can visually instruct it to change code. The new “Generative Interfaces” feature can create interactive, visual experiences based on complex subjects.
- Smarter search integration: Gemini 3 is integrated into Google Search, making it more intelligent and better at understanding user intent to find new content.
- Developer tools: Google launched Antigravity, a new agent-first development environment built around Gemini 3. The company also updated AI Studio with a Build mode and annotations for faster AI-native app creation.
