Creating polished, on-brand communications at Berkeley Lab just got easier. Creative Services has begun integrating Bynder, the Lab’s new digital asset management (DAM) system, into Marq, giving users direct access to approved Lab photos and other creative assets without ever leaving their document.
A replacement for WebDAM, Bynder serves as Berkeley Lab’s centralized library for photos, graphics, logos, and other brand assets. It helps ensure that everyone across the Lab is using current, high-quality, and approved materials while making it easier to find exactly what you need. When combined with Marq’s branded templates, the integration creates a more streamlined workflow helping users build professional communications faster while maintaining a consistent visual identity.
With this new integration, you’ll now see Bynder as an option whenever you select “My Images” in Marq. Instead of downloading images from one application and uploading them into another, you can browse, adjust, and insert assets directly into your document. The result is a faster, more efficient editing experience that keeps you focused on creating content rather than managing files.
The integration is still being finalized, and we’re continuing to migrate assets from WebDAM into Bynder. As a result, you may notice that not every image is available just yet. Additional photos and creative assets are being added as the migration progresses.
Help Test the Integration
Creative Services is looking for Marq users to help test the new Bynder integration before its official release. Early feedback will help ensure the experience is as smooth and intuitive as possible before it’s made available to the broader Berkeley Lab community.
To participate in the beta program, you’ll need an active Bynder account. If you don’t already have one, simply email photo@lbl.gov with “Bynder Account Request” in the subject line to request access.
If you have questions about the integration or would like more information about participating in the beta, please reply directly to the Creative Services announcement email.
By bringing Berkeley Lab’s growing digital asset library directly into Marq, this integration makes it easier than ever to create professional, brand-consistent communications using approved images and design resources all from within a single workspace.
