Accounts on Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) are available to all lab staff. Accounts on either service can be setup and configured the same day.
The process to get an account on a cloud service is as follows:
- Have ready a valid PID that will be used for recharges for your cloud usage
- Have monthly spending or total project amount that you can use to create a budget in order to receive alerts and track usage.
- Request an account by emailing email@example.com.
Account setups and console access methods are different between AWS and GCP, mostly due to the lack of integrated SSO in AWS (currently).
