Google Calendar Reminders Migrate to Google Tasks
Google Assistant and Calendar Reminders will become Google Tasks to help organize and manage to-dos in one place. Starting on May 22, 2023, Reminders will begin to automatically migrate to Tasks. Users now have the option to voluntarily convert reminders to tasks. Open a current Calendar Reminder and click on the option to Turn my reminders into tasks now. Coming Soon: New smart chips in Google Sheets and Google Docs
More smart chips are rolling out to Google Workspace products. Keep an eye on new chips coming soon to Berkeley Lab accounts for Google Sheets and Docs:
- Place chips*: Add location to Sheets and open it directly in Google Maps or see a preview of the location or get directions.
- Date chips*: More date options like @today, @yesterday, @tomorrow, and @date are coming to Sheets.
- Finance chips: Add Google Finance entities like stocks, mutual funds, and currencies into Sheets. Hovering over the chip shows a preview of relevant information and links to the dedicated Finance page.
- Stopwatch chips: Insert a stopwatch in Docs to help track and practice speech and reading times.
* These chips are already available in Google Docs from the Insert > Smart chips menu or type “@” to search for chips, building blocks, and files.
