On October 12th the IT Division’s Scientific Computing Group will be hosting a virtual training session on how to get started on Lawrencium. the Lab’s institutional cluster which is available for use by all Berkeley Lab researchers and their collaborators for scientific research. This is a great opportunity for new or prospective users to get acquainted with Lawrencium supercluster through mostly hands-on sessions.
The Scientific Computing group provides HPC services to the LBNL community. To help users effectively use the Lawrencium Supercluster, we will give an overview of the Lawrencium supercluster with the following objectives:
- Overview of Lawrencium supercluster
- Access/login to clusters
- Software access and installation
- Job submission and monitoring
- Data transfer to/from cluster
- Open On Demand: a browser based HPCS portal
