Upgrade to CrowdStrike to Resolve Sophos Errors
As of July 21, Sophos is no longer supported at Berkeley Lab. If you don’t have CrowdStrike installed, the Lab’s new antivirus software, your system is no longer fully protected, and you might encounter Sophos error messages. Bobby Zavieh, IT Workstation Support Lead, Retires
Bobby (Babak) Zavieh, IT Workstation Support Lead, officially retires on June 26, 2023, after 20 years at Berkeley Lab. Throughout his career, Bobby supervised over a dozen staff and interns at any time, managed a broad array of hardware and technology, and resolved technical issues to facilitate scientific work across the Lab. In Memoriam: John William Stoner
John W. Stoner, longtime IT Division employee, passed away in June 2023. He was an expert Archivist and Librarian who retired as head of the Records Management Office after 25 years of service at the Lab. John also made important contributions to developing the DOE record management practices in use today. Read more »
