Berkeley Lab’s IT Audio Visual (AV) services team provides equipment and support for onsite, online, and hybrid events at the Lab. The AV team cannot rent or loan out equipment to use at offsite events (Use of Lab Resources).
IT AV Services supported events are recharged to a department project/activity ID (PID) at a flat rate of $100/hour. The hourly rate applies to ALL support services, including pre-event consultation and training.
IT AV Services will remain connected 1/2 hour before and 1/2 after the start of Zoom meetings or webinars to offer support with high-profile or complex events. The team cannot remain connected for the duration of events.
The IT Help Desk is available during business hours should unforeseen issues arise.

Please submit AV support requests with 2 weeks’ advanced notice. Requests with less than 48 business hours advance notice will be billed at double time. Note: The IT AV Services team may not be able to support short-notice requests due to existing staff commitments.
To request any of the services described above, fill out an AV Request Form.
An ASKUS request will be created, and assigned to the AV Services group. You will receive an email confirmation from the ASKUS ticketing system.
