The Laboratory Research Computing program provides Lawrencium, a 942-node (23,424 computational cores) Linux cluster to its researchers needing access to computation to facilitate scientific discovery. The system, which consists of shared nodes and PI-contributed Condo nodes is equipped with an infiniband interconnect and has access to a 1.8 PB parallel filesystem storage system. Large memory, GPU and Intel Phi Knight’s Landing nodes are also available.
Other services include a condo compute service that allows PIs to purchase compute equipment to add into the Lawrencium cluster, a storage condominium service that allows PIs to purchase storage shelves that can be hosted in our storage infrastructure, and an Open OnDemand service which provides web portal access to Lawrencium.
