Starting on May 30, 2023, Single Sign-On (SSO) will be required when signing into Atlassian Cloud products, including Bitbucket, JIRA, Trello and others, with SSO-capable @lbl.gov accounts.
SSO, which also requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), is being implemented as a cybersecurity best practice to help prevent unauthorized access to your account. The new requirement protects you from phishing, malware, and brute-force attacks which can cause significant harm, both to you personally and to the mission and reputation of Berkeley Lab.
This will only affect users who enter their email and then sign in with an Atlassian password.
If you already click ‘continue with: Google’ then your login process will not change.
